Now, todays shave is something that is starting to get close to at least half decent! Smooth face, but the neck area isn't satisfactory.

100 rounds on the strop makes wonders! It's nothing you didn't know before, but it's new to me!

Getting there, slowly! Todays straight shave was ceratinly an improvement from yesterday. A closer shave indeed! I'm still not content with the result on the neck. I need to find another angle or a slight variance to the direction, I'm missing something...

A testing day: 9/16 wb and a 9/16 morley both are farily stiff in their grinds (wb is on edge, morley laying down)

30/40 TM #1 horse hide for each of them
hot towel
tabac soap
forum shavemac
lather with hot towel
relather
wb with the grain on the left cheek, morley on the right
against the grain morley on the left, wb on the right
cold water rinse
dickensons witch hazel

pretty smooth shavers and a nice shave but i wish i had done an across the grain pass like i normally do

these blades were fresh off the 8k norton and are nice. I'll try them on a hunsrueck tonight and see how they shave again tomorrow... then they are off to their new homes!

Sappo Hill almond soap + dash of bentonite clay -> fantastic lather!
Levering Razor "The Artist" 11/16, newspaper stropped 50x (passed HHT and treetopped with ease)
1x WTG
1x ATG
little cleanup + goatee edging (1st time w/ straight... wow, what a great tool!)
homemade lime AS

This was my first straight shave on back to back days, I thought I'd have awful razor burn, but surprisingly, none! And I was very, *very* careful to shave around the 2 slices I got 2 days ago... kept me honest, and I only got a couple of weeping spots that went away with cold water splash

Can't wait to get my Wapi's... "The Artist" is rapidly becoming my favorite, I want to see how it fairs against the Wapi

Default Shave of the Night

The favorite day in my rotation has arrived, been humming my song all day long.. Haven't been at work for a few days since I had to get ahead of this snow storm, so I haven't had time to even shave... Tonight I have been looking forward to since Tuesday when I saw what razor was peeking out... This is by far my best shaving razor and I love when it comes up in the rotation, This is "Mac the Knife" a 4/8 L.H.Mack of Columbus Ohio that makes me hum the old Bobby Darrin song every time I shave with it....

Steaming hot towels
Hot water prep
Build a Rose Filled Uberlather
Cyril R Salter Rose shave creme (1 perfect snurdle from the Dipper)
Classic rose shave soap
Pure Glycerin
Gently mixed to perfection with a 28mm Shavemac Silvertip
Hot water rinse
Lather up
30 laps linen 40 laps leather
Steaming hot towel on the lather
Re-lather
Singing "When the shark bites"
WTG pass
Singing "Macky's back in town"
Hot water rinse
Re-lather
20 laps leather
Touch up and straighten up beard lines
Hot water rinse
Cold water rinse
Thayers rose WH
Watch the premier of 'Lost'
Hit the hay
I have the Pinaud's Clubman Bay Rum set aside for tomorrow....
