First day where I've thought I'm starting to at least see some evidence that I will be able to get the hang of this one day.
Music: My housemate's bouncy trance/techno
Hot shower
Trumpers Lime Skin Food as pre-shave
Trumpers Lime Shave Cream
Moss Scuttle (large)
Kent BK4
Lather
Hot towel
Lather
Wapi, honed by Lynn
Tony Miller Heirloom Latigo 3" Strop
30x linen, 50x Leather
WTG
XTG
Chin touch up with Merkur HD (Feather blade)
NO styptic
WWR
Alum
CWR
Trumpers Lime Skin Food
Clinque Mlotion face cream
Issy Miyake cologne.
First shave where I could shave up the neck without bouncing and cutting. It's all about the angle. Also used a damp facecloth to wipe off the razor each stroke rather than rinsing in the sink. I've dinked the tip already. Also keeps my fingers drier and that has to be a good thing. Slow progress.
Really enjoyed today's shave, took plenty of time and smiled all the way through.

Boar Bristle Brush
Kiss My Face Vanilla Shave Cream
Clements High Speed Round Pt.
2 X WTG
1 X ATG
Hot Towel in between passes
Cold Water Rinse
Dickenson's Witchhazel
Clean up mess
Liberal application of Dominica Bay Rum
Good to go!

Monday, 2/11/08
Vulfix Lavender Shaving Cream
Moss Scuttle
non-descript shaving brush
A beautiful 7/8 W&B wedge with blue speckled scales
Thayers Lavender witch hazel
Pinaud lime aftershave
Mama-bears unscented winter aftershave balm
I nicked my ear for the first time...I have to say, it doesn't hurt when you cut yourself with a razor...until you apply the aftershave. Ouch!

Hot shower and conditoner
