Shower
Hot water in coffee mug
nice looking deer horn-handled brush into hot water
I wrung out the brush and fump! badger hair detached from horn handle.
Several attempts to lather using handle fail
Analog clock on wall ticking off the seconds before I am late for work
4 Year old boy wondering what all the is about
More water on drying face
Chinese badger brush in hot water
More proraso shaving cream
A blast of water from the faucet
Decent lather, surprisingly, quickly rubbed through beard
Nicked Tony Miller strop
4 Year old using Chinese eBay brush applied lather to face and ears then was booted out of bathroom
Freshly honed and nick-stropped 5/8 Wostenholm in a WTG XTG hybrid maneuver
Presentable shave, no razorburn, no redness, no nicks
Lots of stubble

First time I've shaved within a few days after the previous shave. Usually I go for a week between shaves, no-one to impress lol. However, have a couple of Dr's appointments this week.
My chosen implements of destruction:
brush: Everready Pure Badger
Shave Cream: C&E Nomad - still trying out some of the creams I purchased from B&B's bst thread-still doesn't compare with Colleen's Cavendish Black
Razor: Genco 5/8 roundpoint that I won in the newbie giveaway about a year ago. - still one of my best shavers
strop as always: Bear Brand
a/s balm bigelow bay rum
results: bbs as always, no slips, no bleeders, very little burn

Tonight's shave was interesting. Had a friend over who had never seen a straight shave before. As they were getting ready to leave, I was getting things ready to shave and he spotted me. He ended up watching me shave (which was a first) and left incredibly excited.
Also, tonight wasn't the best night.
Razor: Geneva 5/8 Spike
Soap: William's
AS: Witch Hazel, AoS Balm, Pinaud Clubman
The lather bowl fell in the water, ruined my lather. The blade needs a touch-up on a barber's hone or pasted strop.
Overall...presentable.

A little help here please!!!
OK I am pretty good at restores, at scales, even at honing razors, but getting a picture to display in the large format is beyond my skill set obviously...
I uploaded my SOTD pic to Photobucket, could somebody please tell me how to get it to display in the nice large format that some of you guys are using...

Hey Glen,
Under (or beside) your picture in Photobucket, there is a field that says "Direct Link" with some URL next to. Click on the URL (it should copy as soon as you click it), then on SRP click on the "insert Image" icon in the text editor. Paste the URL in the popup and click Ok. That should do it!
It will place your URL in between IMG tags to make the picture show.
