I'm using the same "rig" for the month of July for Simplicity/Fidelity sake. I have come back to straight razor shaving...attempting to learn for the second time after putting it down a couple 3 months ago. This time I hope I can accomplish it! Using two hands this time and going slowly.
Thiers Issard 5/8 Super "Gnome"
Plisson #12 HMW in Horn
TABAC Shaving Soap
*today I splashed on some Floris JF Aftershave, followed by JF Balm & EDT.

I like all the pics here. But I feel as I have to post as well and say a special congrats to BigBubba and RayG for their exceptionally good pics this week!! Well done guys
BigBubba for the layout and the use of wooden hardware - seems to work quite well).
RayG for the use of the TI in the foreground and all the other stuff in the background.
I agree that AntiqueHoosier deserves a special mention too for his originality.
Hmmmm.... we should have a competition just like they've done in the past over at the Badger & Blade forums.

Thanks Rick! I just picked it up a short time ago from Hawkeye5 (John from Tennessee). He made a dream come true for me and I love the brush. It holds hot lather in the bristle like a scuttle would...Pure Luxury.

Thanks Rum! I have been using the same set up daily so I have to try different things to make "the same old tools" look different...of course...a Thiers Issard, A Plisson and TABAC are really "roughing it" Right?

Thanks. Would have been nice if my hands were not in the picture.
Since quite a few here are into photography, it might not be a bad idea to have a thread showing some of our non-shaving photos. What do you guys think?

Thursday
5/8 Robeson Shuredge with rosewood custom scales, honed by me
Castle Forbes Pre Shave
Castle Forbes Sandalwood & Cedarwood shaving cream (sample)
GB Kent
Coral Skin Food
Achieved a very close shave... felt BBS in most places which is not bad for this razor especially given that I honed it (I'm useless at honing!).
First time with a CF cream as well. Very interesting and quite different to the usual Trumpers or T&H soaps and creams that I'm used to. It was quite hard for a soap, but it made a great lather and it felt like I didn't need anything after the shave - couldn't stop feeling my face it was so smooth after I did the final rinse. Can't wait to try the CF Lime Oil though!!
