Default Hard Soaps in Lime

I'm just looking for a consensus

What is your favorite lime soap of the hard triple milled variety? I have a hankering for lime soap right now. Thanks

I haven't tried a lime soap yet, but, many people from the UK go to Turkey on holiday (vacation=US) and have a proper razor shave over there and comment on how good it is. Often I hear people say about a lime or lemon flavour? soap used!! I would be interested in any lime flavoured?? products myself.

Well, in this case I'm particularly interested in the hard soaps.

I can say that our own Colleen does make a nice Lime Margarita soap. Mama Bear makes a lime soap (probably several variations ). I've also heard good things about the QED Lime soap. I'm sure there are others. These are all glycerin soaps though.

how about Geo F Trumper's extract of Limes here.

Trumpers stuff is triple milled so it is nice and hard.

GFT is on my list to consider. Have you tried it? Some lime scents are sweeter than other - almost candy-like. I prefer a drier lime. Just curious is anyone has compared different brands. Thanks

Not yet, i've only tried their Sandalwood and the Coconut ... I've got dry and sensitive skin so I've been holding off on the Lime as it may be a bit harsh.

I've used the GFT Lime and like it. I find their soap to be more subtle and natural smelling and without the overpowering chemical or artificial scent to it.

That's the one that sprang to mind, and I'm having a hard time thinkig of any other triple-milled lime soaps.

GFT Limes is great. It's tripple milled vegetable oil based if you are a tallow holic, but the peformance and scent are great.

Thumbs up

I bought the Trumber Limes soap earlier this week and tried it today. The scent is a pleasant blend of soap and light lime/citrus. I usually prefer scents that give more of a punch in the head in the morning, but I still like this soap very much. The performance is on par with the other high end English soaps I have. Its a keeper.

Thanks for all the input guys.

Yepp. GFT is, as far as I know, the only limes *triple mill* soap available. The scent to me reminds me of a "lime cream soda" of the old fashioned variety. I've got all the Geo Trumper soaps and I love each and every one of them... I just wish their almond smelled of almonds instead of a nondescript floral scent which is by itself very nice, it's just not almonds as I think of them. I've been wondering if the scent might be related to almond trees in bloom but for now it's still a mystery.

GFT Extract of Limes, a keeper in my book.

Regards
