Default Combining soaps?

I have a cake of Col. Konk's Lime, glycerin based soap.

I also just bought some Van Der Haagen shave soap.

If I were to shred both of these, and mix them, then pack them into a bowl, would I end up with superior shaving soap?

Suggetions and advice happily taken.

(I have not yet used the VDH on it's own, so I have no idea how well it works solo.)

I think you'd just have a diluted lime cake. Those two may actually have the same manufacturer, which means same quality soap but just less lime.

Also, with conk and VDH you can probably just microwave them if you are hell bent on combining them.

If you really want a superior lime soap buy a QED glycerin puck or GFT limes soap. SCS and Mama Bear probably can beat conk too but haven't tried them myself.

Oh, I will be, rest assured. Momma Bear also has a fairly inexpensive brush stand that I need (I left my brush in the mug of lather I made, and forgot about it yesterday. Ick.).

I was just trying to think of what to do with what I've got to get a better shave.... I am reluctant to spend more money right now, as I haven't decided yet if my interest is permanent, or a fad. I'm weird.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but isn't VDH a hard milled soap???
In a green box or am I thinking of the wrong soap????
If so don't mic it, will not be a good outcome...
I actually don't mic any soap, but that's just me I'm weird too
You might just try the combo out first, by lathering the two together, load the Conk on the brush, then build the lather in a cup with the VDH at the bottom, and see if you even like the combo, before you mix them together...

I spent my 2 cents

No, that's the right stuff. Happened to come across it at a local Drug store. I keep looking for this stuff now. Hehehehe

I'll try mixing in the way you describe, and see how it goes. Will report back on probably Monday.

VDH has a glycerin version that could be melted w/ any other glycerin soap

I shredded both VDH Deluxe and Williams Mug Soap and pressed them together in a small plastic container. Works out ok. A combined smell of the two soaps isn't too bad. Probably makes the Williams better, and the VDH worse!
