I finished my first tub of cream!
Another milestone accomplishment for me; I used the very last of my tub of Taylors of Old Bond St (TOBS) Shaving Shop cream last night. An entire tub, gone. I bought it last year. It probably sounds crazy since most of us have more than one soap or cream in our possession (I have 5 now) and many have collections of creams and soaps that rival or exceed their razor numbers but....I made kind of a wacky decision some months back that I was going to actually use up the soaps and creams that I have one by one before buying any new soap/cream.
I don't have a lot of space to keep a ton of different soaps/creams around and amassing a huge assortment that would never get used in a reasonable time frame isn't something I wanted.
I didn't hate the TOBS Shaving Shop and I got used to the scent, but I wouldn't personally buy it again.
Now it's on to the Bath & Bodyworks re-labeled Proraso I think. Daily use until it's gone then onward.

Congrats! It takes some self control to use just one while the others are just sitting there waiting for you! I dont think i could do it.

You'll probably go back to Taylor of Old Bond Street at some point. I've used their Lavender, Sandlewood, and St James. Of the three, I'm addicted to the St James scented one the most. Usually after a while of using something else I end up going back to it partly because I like the scent and partly because it lathers so well. ... and I can't complain about the price, either.

That is my favorite also I used up my tub of St James cream and I will be replacing it soon. I also have a little of the St James aftershave left. I will need to replace that too.

Congrats on finishing the tub. At the rate my soap/cream rotation is increasing, I will never get to see the bottom of tub or have the feeling of an empty tube.

I like the fragrance of 1805 from Truefitt/Hill, But without a doubt the richest lather comes from St.James.I have tried the Essential Lime from Castle and Forbes and a lot of the others but none of them comes close to the rich and abundant lather from St.James.

Hmmmmm...based on some of the glowing reviews of the St. James, I may very well have to pick it up. TOBS Shaving Shop definitely lathered very easily and a little went a long way. I want to try something that has a little more glide. I've heard Colleen's soaps and CF are supposed to have more cushion or glide. I don't like the glycerin drops idea, it's never really fixed the problem when I've added it to soaps.

Considering I have over 50 soaps and creams on the go, I don't think I can add anything *useful* to this thread......<sigh>.
