Old Spice Scent
Ok, I know that Old Spice no longer makes shaving soap, but are there any brands of shaving soap that have an old spice scent? I use the Old spice aftershave, and I don't want to get a differently scented soap because that might bugger up the smell operation.

I just saw on Mama Bear's website that she offers a scent called "Aged Spice." has anyone tried this before?

Yes, I have MB's aged spice. The scent is outstanding and is just like OS. Its actually a little better than the original. Its a perfect match. Get it. You'll be happy you did.

I would like to hear more reviews on this scent as well. I have a puck still in an old spice mug that I received from my dad, when I started straight razor shaving 2 yrs ago.

I checked online, the total order cost will be nearly $13.00 because of shipping for one puck of Aged Spice. How long does a puck last? Is it worth all of that money?

The aged spice is a very well done accurate copy of OS. I find that its actually a "cleaner" version. Trust me, if you like OS, this is a must have soap.
It is a glycerin soap. They typically do not last as long as a hard soap, but if you don't let it sit there in water half an hour every day, it should last you some months. Its a good size puck and comes in its own sealable container.
Because of shipping, its probably a good idea to get several soaps per order

I concur on the multiple items for shipping, usually with many of these when you are getting it from these lady's the shipping can sometimes snag you. Sometimes it is easier to just add more soaps to try to equal out the cost of shipping. They don't mean to do that to you, but it is just business and it also gives you an excuse to have more than one type of soap

Take the plunge and buy enough to make shipping worthwhile. I have a puck of MB that I've been using with a little bit of cream for a super lather. It has lasted me 3 months and is still not gone. You will love Mama Bear's soaps, and they are an incredibly easy and forgiving lather. To make it last a bit longer, don't soak the puck in water. I don't and it works just fine for me.

How long will a puck of soap "keep"? I would buy multiple Aged Spice pucks, but will some "expire" after a year or so? I don't have too thick of whiskers to trim and I only shave every other day, so I have a feeling it'll take me a while to get to that second or third puck of soap.

A puck will last pretty well indefinitely if kept in a cool, dry place, and sealed in a ziplock baggie.
I've had pucks for years that are as good as the first day I bought them.

I bought 2 mamabear soaps when I first started shaving ~6 months ago... so far neither look like they've been used as far as soap consumption goes. I probably shave every other day on average. Depends on how often you shave and what your method is etc. I find the mamabear last a while though.
I'd recommend against getting 2 or 3 of the same scent.. try some variety.

Seeing as how I'm going to get three, I'll get 2 Aged Spice and then 1 other scent. I'm just a little finicky on smell, i'd hate to mix them up. That's why I want OS-like shaving cream, to match the OS aftershave and the OS deodorant. I'm just about to post a thread looking for OS-smelling cologne.

Guys don't tempt me! I already have enough soaps/creams to last me a couple of years!

I bought the OS cologne at CVS - I think its still available to be had in drug stores or supermarkets. If you don't find it, check ebay.
Also, check out Dominica Bay Rum Spice Cologne. Its similar to OS and a very nice cologne at a good price. Classic should have it.
