Default Initial thoughts from a newbie

I seem to have more soaps and creams than anything now so I thought I'd have my say.

Taylor of Old Bond Street Barber Shop Court Hairdresser - love it. This is the first cream I used and the fiorst time I used a brush. My God it felt like somebody was putting warm marshmellowy creamy goodness on my face.

Bodyshoppe cream in the tub - loved this as well and when put side to side with the Taylor brand I noticed it was the same colour and smell. The first 7 ingredients are the same and the bodyshoppe stuff is made in the UK......this also felt like a warm marshmellow was smeared on my face but felt a lettle better afterwards....my favorite one thus far. If it came in scents other than just the one they might have a windfall.

Proraso green tube - nice lather but I am not sure if I am a menthol kind of guy. I also bought the green jar preshave that can be used afterwards as well. Smelled like vicks. Not my fav but might use once in awhile. I am not sure why I would use it once in awhile but I suppose I would.

Nivea soap in the tube - this lathered up real nice and I liked it. I am not sure if I am sold on the Nivea line though - lots of chemicals etc.

Burt's Bees shave soap in the tube. Tried it once and gave to my wife to use on her legs if she wants. I don't think it was meant for a brush.

So my favorite has to go to the Bodyshoppe. It is all natural etc and is make in the UK.....

There are more soaps and creams out there then you will ever be able to sample. All of them work to some degree or another and many like some that others hate. Good advice is, if you find something you like quit while your ahead. Otherwise you will be on a never ending quest to find the best which is Castle Forbes by the way.

His wife reported he was using his Iwasaki Razor and while shaving his neck it just seemed to have a mind of its own and came to life and cut his throat. Subsequent investigation revealed the razor belonged to Toshiro Kawasaki a WWll Kamakazee pilot who was killed when his plane slammed into the USS Yorktown. His last act was to shave with that razor. It is suspected the razor is haunted.

Well I would have to give Mama Bear's soaps a go before settling on a "best". Sue makes a fine product there.

I see they make 3 scents. Do people generally have a favorite. The cedar one intrigues me.....

CF is awesome! [but not the best]

Check out Nancy Boy signature or replenishing and check out JMFraser's. You can buy both for the price of one CF. [which I repeat is great! ...... but not the best]

or do what I do and buy all three.

Since we're now saying what's best

I think the hard soaps from the well established English style vendors are as good if not better than anything out there. Trumper, DR Harris, Mitchell's Wool Fat - yes I'll add AOS. Also, don't forget Tabac soap. If you like the scent, its outstanding.
