Tabac
Does Tabac make a soap that will fit into a shaving mug?

The best way to get any hard soap to fit in any container you would like is to take the soap puck and a cheese grater--grate the soap up into a bunch of soap shavings. take the shavings and cram them down into the bottom of your new container and really pack it in there.
Works like a charm.
DO NOT HEAT UP YOUR SOAP TO MELT IT!
Some folks do, but why risk trashing your soap when you can simply grate it instead?

A friend of mine makes soaps, she says it's ok to melt most of them in the microwave!
I was quite shocked at the suggestion, but she insists it is fine
I still grated my soap and squashed it into a bowl.

If its a glycerin based soap and you use low heat for minimum time it works fine but if its a milled soap or one of those natural type products you will destroy the soap in the microwave and it will not melt.

It is suspected the razor is haunted.

Does anyone know where to get samples of Tabac products...or at least of the scent?

So, Sean was kind enough to send me a sample of the soap...a big chunk!
Very nice! Definitely more "soapy" smelling than others, but in a nice, clean way. Crisp, clean scent without being astringent or "chemically". Nice lather - good coverage. Shaved with my Mappin Bros Frameback - very nice results - BBS in most areas (the neck/jaw is always a challenge, thus my SRP name!)
Where can one buy their products in the US? They have a lot of nice products on their German site.

Smallflower and QED carry Tabac. You can probably find other vendors on Amazon. Every now and then I find a brick and mortar store in NYC that carries it.
Tabac is just awesome - and I don't use that word lightly! Enjoy!

One of these days in your travels, a guy is going to show you a brand-new deck of cards on which the seal is not yet broken. Then this guy is going to offer to bet you that he can make the jack of spades jump out of this brand-new deck of cards and squirt cider in your ear. But, son, do not accept this bet, because as sure as you stand there, you're going to wind up with an ear full of cider.

Is the cologne and balm scented like the soap?

To my nose, the aftershave and the soap have a similar scent. The cologne is a little different - more floral or something. Its all good, but I like the a/s better.

Thanks! I am still looking for one site that has all the items...found several sites, but they either don't carry soap/shave cream/balm/AS, etc. all at once or they are out of stock....the search continues.

Try THIS one!
I've only bought the soap from them but it was the cheapest I could find online at the time.

I think Lynn and Don have it (or will soon). Check their site (SRD) or shoot an email.

Thanks! I went to one recommended site and got some soap and cream. I was going to get the after shave lotion, but the German site said it had a high alcohol content, so didn't get that.
