First....Thank You Chris!!
I ordered 2 packs of the Chromium Oxide late Wednesday evening and received then Saturday afternoon! That is fast shipping in my book.

Man this stuff goes a long way....

The package is small so I used my daughters baby spoon (note to self...Don't tell wife). I filled the tip slightly more than 1/8 full then made several piles on the front side of a T.M. practice strop. Using an old credit card (remember the 70's) I spread the powder easily . Use a fair amount of pressure to scrape the excess off. Using a dry finger I rubbed the strop down filling in any holidays along the way.
There is enough left over to easily do 3 more strops.

THE TEST

I decided to go for broke and really stress test the set up.
Using a Schlenkers Creation that had a fair at best edge ( never been able to get it sharp) I did 20 laps with the chromium oxide followed by 40 laps on an Ace High Belgian shell strop.

The Shave

With 1 1/2 days growth I quickly washed my face (no shower or hot towels) and lathered with a Williams puck, then shaved immediately (no lather soak). Did I mention STRESS TEST??
I had a GREAT shave 2 passes wtg & 1 xtg. With proper prep I can see my next shave bordering on fantastic!

I'm glad it worked well for you. It's always good to hear that. It's too bad it seems the Hand American chromium oxide is no more. I have a bunch left and will make sure there is a classified for it for those that want it until it's gone. It's posted under the honing section of the classifieds. Just page forward.
