Default Mutha of all snakes - and a few others!

Thought I would show off a few reptile themed razors - including the mastro 'anaconda' a name I feel is befitting a beast of this proportions! The tan coloured razor is a 6/8 cobalt magnetic by W&R. Case & Sons, Bradford, PA. The cream and dark green shoulderless 6/8 is a L.Herder & Sons of Germany. A few of you will recognise Buddels Kobra scale work - practically inch wide Kobra rasiermesser and the anaconda - a full inch wide ATS 34 with snakewood scales by Mastro Livi. I thought Buddels snake was big (ooh er misses) but I may need a support crew to shave with the mastros boa! It has just arrived and so I can't say how it works but can't wait to try it. It feels heavy but well balanced and the long tail I asked for seems to work well for my hand span.

cheers
Stephen

I think so. Will have to have them in the hold obviously as I am flying and that scares me a wee bit - Ryanair... gulp. Lost baggage I will take them though. The UK meet needs a good few members razors to make it more interesting. No snakes though - I haven't got that on the licence for the hall. Snakes on a plane!! It's a while since I have done that - coming back from Utrecht european snake day with some babies in a sock . After that film I would prob be shot for doing it now! (they were legal snakes I should add - I just didn't want them in the hold and the airplane regs didn't really allow it so...).

Awesome razors. Just out of interest, are you a fellow herpetoculturist, or do you just have a thing for ophidian themed razors?
Kind regards,
Alex

Very nice looking razors. How is the balance on that Livi? It looks wonderful.

Bred various boids for a decade or more - emerald tree boas, carpet, macklots, D'albertis etc etc... Doing a dissertation that involves european adder (Vipera berus) right now - trying to change attitudes using interpretation. Don't have any snakes right now - too long a story - but my daughter has been promised a wee royal python for her 5th b'day. It's been a kinda life long thing that's followed me around since I got my first snake when I was nine. Strange really - but you know where you are with a snake . Not often you hear that phrase!

It's always good to meet another hobbyist, I don't take an active role in online herp communities so sometimes it feels like your the only person interested in snakes and lizards. I keep some pythons (Boelens, Bredli, Diamonds, and Womas) as well as ETB's and Sanzinia. My main interest is dwarf varanidsand I keep acanthurus caudolineatus, ,glauerti, pilbarensis, storri and tristis. I used to manage a private breeding facility that specialised in Indicus complex monitors and endangered venomous (mainly pit vipers) until ill health forced me to send themout to other collections, but that is all in the past now so hopefully everything should be up and running again soon. Way too many venomous to list, but highlights of my collection include Zhaoermia, Protobothrops cornutus and Crotalus willardi amabilis, also have a breeding group of C. polystictus that stayed with me throughout (my favourite snakes.)
Kind regards,
Alex

To borrow from Eric Cartman, those razors are hella cool!
