Default Carmarthen Antique Fair & Flea Market finds.

Hi everyone. Took the family west a bit today, and found some nice items.
1 A barbers hone called Kresny's Acerondum. It's chocolate brown, 2x5 inches and I've beveled the edges and started to lap it. Paid £1 ($2, .8 euro)
2 A Fontana 6/8 (actualy 13/16) razor. Here is whats on the razor - Scales "extra rex extra", front blade etched "extra rex extra" within a diamond, "LL gioiello del parrucchiere" bellow the diamond.
On the front tang 52 6/8 REX. On the rear of the tang "fontana solingen" next to a picture of a fountain. paid £2 ($4, 1.6 euro)
3 A bakerlite boxed rolls razor blade. £2
I would be very greatful for any info or translations on the razor or the hone.
Here are the pictures

I've just found out that the etching on th blade is Italian, it translates to English as "The hairdressers jewel" NICE !!

That rex is a real nice looking blade. Looks to be in great shape with little to no wear. I hope she turns out to be a great shaver as well.

There is a member of SRP with the surname of Fontana. He will be very jealous that you've found an illusive Fontana brand razor. I know he's looking for one, but I can't recall his SRP name.

Nice finds!

An interesting fact about Fontana of Solingen - Dovo bought them out in 1970.

Hey Guys!

I split the thread as it got into some historical questioning and I thought it might get more traffic and info added in the razor forum!
