Default the other half...

Ok i finally got around to taking pictures of the other half so here it is...my newley aquired J.R. Torrey "Our Beauty" it's hard to see in the picture because the etching is shallow in some spots i think the previous owner might have taken some sandpaper to it :-\ My first american razor :-D

I got it and it had a good bevel but it had some knicks as well...SO...i followed Gssixgun's "a way to hone an ebay razor" (i don't remember the exact title) and decided to butter knife it to remove the knicks...it worked VERY quick :-) and then i spent about an hour re-establishing the bevel before i realized it was a happy razor (see image 3) anyway i just finished honing it and i'll give it a shave tomorrow (hopefully i did a good job and my face won't go up in flames tomorrow) anyway enough talking here's what we're all here for....

She'll be a beauty with a little work. And, of course, Torrey's make superior shavers.

When I read the thread title, I opened the thread hoping it would contain pictures of members' wives!
