Your personal book on shaving, brought to you by The Wiki Crew
Chaps,
Countless hours of work went into this. Massive thanks to Ben (who did all of the coding) and Da Bomb (who, as always, installed the software, but also upgraded the Wiki software for this to work): Help:Books - Straight Razor Place Wiki.
In a nutshell: Mark one or more articles for PDF download, then create the PDF. I must admit that I am bit excited about this, as it opens us new opportunities to propagate SRP's collective knowledge. Here is an example, containing Lynn's "First Shave" and the "Beginner's Guide": click me!This extension allows a user to organize personal selections of pages in a collection. Collections can be

Enjoy!

Arrgghh, more new tricks for an old dog to learn. Thanks Robin and the Wiki crew, this looks like a really handy resource once I figure it out. Maybe a neat way to do a honing log ?

The longer I work at this sport of honing razors and the more I read and try it hands on the more I've come to the conclusion that if Lynn said it I believe it and that settles it.

Ah. The next project. Blogs. At this point in time, I think I'd set up a personal blog with a provider that allows for good PDF output. I would recommend supersized.org because they're truly free, and s9y is arguably the best blogging software on earth (and yes, I run a heavily modified version of Blosxom, dated November 2002...).

Thanks Robin. I will check those out and see whether one or another suits my needs.

I think I just did something useful (at long last). The Wiki can now export ODF Text Documents. This means you can import articles into OpenOffice Writer, which is, in my humble opinion, the best text processor in the market.
Have a look: http://straightrazorplace.com/srpwik...Special%3ABook.
