Default How much?

I just bought a strop and strop paste, and I want to know how much paste to put on the strop? While I'm pretty sure that 'not much' would be my general guide, does anyone have any pics of pastes strops so I can see what a well pasted strop looks like? I looked on youtube but couldn't find any videos about pasted strops.

cheers,
Dave

The Art of Straight Razor Shaving by Dr Moss shows you quite a few pics. I have it on my computer and can mail it to you, I could not find the on line version for you.

I tried to find a picture with google and found this: http://www.gutenberg.org/files/22117...s/ill2-017.jpg

Josh Earl put together a tutorial called Pasting a strop
it has some pictures of the pasting prosess, even though he uses green chrome the amount he uses should be comparable for diamond paste.

The Art of The Straight Razor Shave, A Basic Guide by Christopher Moss can be found over at shavemyface.com. Its well worth reading.
