Default Camellia Oil damage strop?

Just considering using camellia oil to keep carbon razor from rusting after each shave (dried on towel first) while put away. When time to strop (before and after each shave) does this oil somehow damage or degrade the strop

I solve the problem, if there is one, by wiping the razors before they ever touch my strops......

I use camellia oil and just wipe them down before stropping. I haven't had any issues.

I just recently discovered the practice of oiling a strop with neatsfoot, etc. If you do some such camellia will do no harm. I love me camellia but I know it isn't so special as thin mineral oil will work just fine. tsubaki (sp) is just for us romanticist.

I've saved the life of an old strop by almost soaking it in camellia oil, it seems to love it.
On top of that I used some dovo white paste and now it works fine.
