The Great Chrome Ox Giveaway
I bought a stick of Cr02 from Woodcraft some time ago. It's in wax form, like polishing rouge. Anyway, this stick has more Cr02 than I can use in a lifetime. So the first 3 people to post replies to this thread will receive a 1" chunk which I will cut off with a coping saw & mail. (PM me your mailing address). Pay it forward, brothers

That's a sweet offer you've made. It seems to me like ChromeOx is one of those things that you buy just once and end up with way too much. It puts a great edge on a razor, and I think everyone should have some. You are doing these three a great service.

Shameless plug, but I couldn't resist since there are a number of guys looking for chrome ox. I have some in the classifieds section in powder form with instructions.

There's nothing shameless about it Chris, the free stuff here is gone. I will back you up on your deal here, I have pasted the backside of my hanging strop and have been getting wicked edges. I also have plenty left to play with on some balsa and a paddle strop or bench hone.
Thanks, great deal!

Chunks of chrome ox are in envelopes, ready to go out tomorrow. It warmes the c0ckles of my heart (or would if I knew what the hell a "c0ckle" is) to know that I can make people so happy, so easily Prepare, my friends, for the imminent arrival of The Great Chrome Ox (sounds like a pagan god, dunnit?)

I've actually got some in both bar and powder form. Any idea how you are supposed to make the stuff that comes as a bar "useable?"

A fine cheese grater will reduce that to a usable powder, I mix mine with some Neats Foot oil and keep that in an old AS sample bottle.....
Great idea and gesture BTW Johnny

Got mine today!
It's funny that I made a purchase on ebay a few days before this thread, and while that still hasn't shipped yet, I already received the PIF.
Thanks again Johnny.
