I went to a local home store and bought a single towel hook for $5. That and two 3 1/2" screws to slam it into the stud for keeps.

I think he means the swivel hook attached to higher quality strops. Google swivel hook and do some searching. I've found a few places the links to which I can't recall at the moment. Keep in mind, a lot of the places that do have them will probably have a minimum quantity of 50 or 100. So that doesn't really help. Kenrup makes strops. Maybe he'd sell the hardware individually?

+1 on the Tack Shop idea, they have all kinds of good stuff there. Also try a local hardware store like Ace for swivels and such, if there aren't any tack shops around.
