Well Shaved Gentleman, Update
Just a quick note to say we are going to need to take a few days off here again for both business and personal reasons.
Orders have come in faster than I can make new stock and it's difficult to pack, ship AND make up new strops by myself. I have a huge pile of nearly finished hanging strops of all models on the bench but it is difficult to find the time to complete them without delaying my current orders. My woodworker is nearing completion on paddle blanks but he is still a week or more off and I will still need to cut and add the leather and finish them. I do have a helper working on final assembly with me on all the components I have cut and finished last week. Things should be back to normal in the store by weeks end though as we made good progress last week.
My wife Lorrie usually helps with the shipping and administrative tasks but has some health issues right now that will keep her from the shop and require my time away from it as well. Nothing life threatening, but very draining on her and obviously my family must come first. I'll be in and out of the shop all week tending to family needs and doing a little website work to pass the time but e-mails and return calls may fall a bit behind.
Thanks for your understanding and I'll be back soon,
Tony

Make sure your wife is taken care of first.
The strops can wait.

I have to +1 on a line like that, but it was exactly what I was going to write.
I hope your wife gets better soon. All the best to you, her and the rest of your family.

Thank you all for your kind thoughts. I had a few minutes to check in and am touched by your posts.
I normally would not post personal info on a group like this but everyone here is like family and I see so many others have shared their personal issues so it feels like a safe place to express things.
Thank you all again,
Tony

+1 Quality strops notwithstanding, without family, it isn't worth a darn.
Take your time Tony - and all the best to your wife and yourself and a wish for a speedy recovery.

But, son, do not accept this bet, because as sure as you stand there, you're going to wind up with an ear full of cider.

Thanks again guys.
Been able to steal a few hours in the shop throughout the day and my helper has assembled a bunch of stuff for me from pieces I cut.
All the outstanding USA orders will go out in today's mail, the few International items tomorrow. I'll try to get the Starters for Topher's sets out tomorrow as well as they only need some stamping to mark them as an SRP item. At least once things are packed I can do labels from the house where I can keep an eye on my wife.
Lorrie is doing better today and can get up and down a little by herself giving me a little more time to do the household stuff, strops, e-mails, etc....
Take care,
Tony

Things are getting a little brighter around here today. Lorrie is up and walking around the house a bit on her own again. Big change from just a few days ago!
I've got a good supply of stock together and should be back online early Monday morning. I'm going to need to do things a little different just so I don't get buried again in orders to quickly and details will be in another post later tonight once everything is in place.
Lorrie and I both want to thank you for your understanding and support during all this. Still a long way to go but her spirits are doing much better today.
Thank you all
Tony

That is great news about your wife. I think it is quite clear from this thread that we are all willing to wait as long as it takes for a quality product backed by a man who has peice of mind.
I am not a religious man but your family is in my thoughts as well, as it seems, ever one elses!

Tony,
I'm a bit late in replying, but I wish you and Lorrie the best. Nothing is more important than taking care of business at home, even the home business! Remember that you also need to take care of yourself. You are both in my thoughts and prayers.
