Mama Bear closing next week
I will not be shipping next week from Feb 3rd til Feb 9th... that is the full week. I am going out of town to do the inspections on the new house and all of the appointments are scattered all through the week so I need to rent a room up there for the duration. If all goes well, I also expect to be closed down from the end of March until the end of April for the move. I am allowing myself a month.. but hope it won't take that long to get set back up again, but it is just me and it is a lot of work.... I will get all orders out this week before I leave. Anything that comes in next week will go out the following week.
Wish me luck...!

This must be a shaving supplier drought going on. Colleeen closed a while to make more soaps, I am closed to make strops and play nurse to my wife, now Mama Bear!
I am glad we have such understanding customers. I don't think any of us are what one would call big time businesses, I know I'm not. For the most part the SRP vendor crowd consists of small cottage industries with a love of what they do and we all appreciate our friends here who help support our endevors.
Good luck on the new home!
Tony

Goodness Tony, for a minute I thought you were going to tell everyone about the big vendor meeting in Hawaii... ! Thank God you didn't say anything... lol
It is tough when it is just one person... that is for sure. Now it looks like it might be the week after next... so even I am confused. I probably shouldn't have said anything until the last minute when I knew exactly what I was doing... Rest assured.. everything will be shipped.. it might just be a couple days late. Be easy on me..
Now, to get started on that tan....
Thanks everyone! I can't wait for this to be over with....

you guys support our habits... of course we're going to be understanding
relax and don't worry about us, we'll still be here and ready to buy soap when you get done with your move...
and Tony, You'd better take your wife to Hawaii with you... (Is that how you tan your leather? ) and pass on our best wishes, and hopes that she has a quick recoverey.

Gone for a week Sue? Is the house that far? Good luck with moving. Me and the little missus just moved 2 weeks ago. Bought our very first house.
Now I don't think I'm going to be able to help you shift furniture but if I could I'd help you out no problemo.
Goodluck with it all.

Yeah, Sue, best wishes! That place you currently have looks great, hope the new place is even better! I sure do hate moving--I"m glad we're where we want to be.
Saw your thread title, almost had a heart attack...am glad it's only temporary! (I thought you were going out of business....)

Hope the move goes well!
One question though, are you looking to get some stuff made up in advance to "stock-up"?
Just asking because I have already planted the seeds for Father's Day gifts!!
With shipping time, wondering about orders swamping you in the April-May time-frame. Just looking down-range a bit.....

I am building up inventory like crazy.. I don't know if I will be able to make soap or not during the move, but I ought to be able to ship it...for most of that time.... so I am doing triple batches of everything... I am pretty sure that part will be alright...
I have a LOT of soap here... ;-)

Colleen, even thinking about this move requires lots of spinach... I am hiring a moving company, but there is still the packing and the unpacking.. so next door or 5 hours north.. it doesn't make much difference. I am going to set my soap kitchen up in the basement tho... I will just have to walk down a flight of stairs.. just like I have now, but the basement of the new house is completely empty.. so I have to build rooms and floors, electric, plumbing and all that before I can even put in a kitchen... so that is why I am thinking it will be so long for soap making..
But like I said, I am stocking up big time. my inventory is hopefully going to hold me over for all of this, but I can see a million things going wrong... and I never want to have to do this again....

Ohhhh....but you must be SO EXCITED! Just think a whole "empty" basement to design your soap kitchen and lay it out JUST the way you want it.... Oh too cool, you'll have to post pics Congratulations!!

I can do pics if you want.. it might be fun to watch it take shape. It is going to be a combination of a soap kitchen and a brewery.. I am heading north this weekend and will take my camera for 'before' pics...
but yeah.. a whole empty basement, it is kind of like a blank drawing page and I am an artist... lol God this is going to be expensive.... *sigh*

Welcome back!
I finally started using your almond shave soap while you were gone and I'm loving it.
