Default April updates for TGQ

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

April updates for TGQ

Good Morning Gentlemen,

I'm happy to report that the website for TGQ will stay open for business, while the website undergoes several changes behind the scenes, but it will take anywhere from 3 weeks to 6 weeks. So the website......"the homepage" will just continue to look the way it does. I keep thinking I need to write to Torr's owner, and ask if he minds that Torr has become the mascot for TGQ.

I'm excited about this change, and yeah...well, a little scared to boot. I'm not exactly computer proof... ...but they assure me that it's very easy ....so we'll see. I do understand that the overall appearance of the website will remain the same, however they have pointed out the need to have less clicks to get to where you're going on some of the pages. For example on the website if you click on “shaving creams” it opens to a picture of the shaving creams, and then you have to click again to enter that area; that will be done away with, you'll just click and be in “makes sense to me”.

The menu selection on the side will look a little different. I'm dropping the category of "home fragrance" and I'll be replacing it with something else.

The other big change to take place is the removal of the shopping cart. A Paypal checkout will be done instead. All those familiar with Paypal know that you'll still be able to pay via credit card and for the few of you who like to call every now and then, yes.....you can still place your order by phone. My prayers are going out daily that this transition will be smooth, and that God will give me super cyber powers while I blaze my way thru uncharted waters. OMG.....like can you believe I'm going to be running my own website..... I'm excited

Due to this delay changes cannot be made to website, so my requests for photographs from all of our world travelers will have to be put on hold.

XXWarm Regards, Colleen

Well, good luck, Colleen, and here's to super cyberpowers for you. (And some for me too--I'm in charge of developing a wiki for my department and am trying to work up a blog at the same time. ) Belated compliments on your site--it makes me feel as if I'm in a favorite brick-and-mortar store. I'm very tempted by that Cavendish Black, or maybe a sampler ... fair warning, when you get my order, I'll be one of those truly retro guys who insist on mailing in a check for payment.

Oh hello there! How very nice to meet you.

Yes......I'm rather "retro" myself perhaps even "Pioneer" and just another reason that I love traditional wetshaving. If I could wave my magic razor I think I'd step back in time to about 1842.

Thank you for the compliments on the website. I've been miserabley slow with the technical end of things and everyone has been so patient with me. But TGQ has continued to grow anyway .....it's just amazing! "Gleefully claps hands"

Colleen, I've read and re-read this update very carefully, but I can see no mention of the forthcoming aftershaves/colognes....

Only joking. You know you've got a depserate customer in me, though!

BTW, out of that big batch of different ones I bought off you a few weeks ago I tried the bay rum cream the other morning. Wow! My gf was giggling cos she could still smell it clearly on my face at bedtime 16 hours later! Deffo one of my faves...
