Semogue Badger Brushes
Gentlemen,
At last I have for you something I've being waiting for so long. It took months, but finally I have a catalog of badger brushes made in a small family run factory in the northern region of Portugal. The brand is "Semogue" and they make brushes with badger hair. It was very difficult for me to convince the owner to give me a digital catalog of his best brushes but he finally gave me.
I've been updating my site, I created a new section called "Shaving Brushes" that contain some models of this brand. They have also some brush stands for sale too.
Check it out here.
Thank you

Semogue Shaving Brush with Oak Handle
Hello gents,
Due to popular demand, I phoned Semogue manager and ask him if he could make the silvertip brush (model # 730) with the Portuguese oak handle. He told me yes he could and that the price would be lower: 29.95 Euros.
Thank you

Lavanda Shaving Cream by Ach. Brito (Claus Porto)
Hello gentlemen.
I have the pleasure to present you a rare and vintage shaving product: Lavanda Shaving Cream.
This is a shaving cream produced by the portuguese brand "Ach. Brito", the same brand that makes the famous Musgo Real.
This shaving cream, just like Musgo Real, contains lanolin and coconut oil providing a great shaving experience.
The ingredients of this wonderful shaving cream are: Qater, Potassium Stearate, Sodium Palmitate, Glycerin, Coconut Acid, Parfum, Potassium Silicate, Coconut Oil, lanolin, Witch-Hazel (Hamamelis Virginiana), Buxus Chinensis, Alcohol and Menthol.
Remember my current shipping condition. I am able to ship this shaving cream in a small cushioned package for only 2 Euros.
Here's a brief history of this fragrance:
"Porto, 1887: At a time when running water pipes didn't even exist, Claus & Schweder, the first factory of scented products and soaps came into existence. Back then, the company sold a lavender fragrance that had an air of Parisian perfumes, the ultimate fragrance that soon won over the Portuguese high society.
Because of World War I, the German-born owners returned to their country. After being auctioned off, the factory became the property of their Portuguese partner, Achilles de Brito who was to carry on the tradition. This lavender fragrance, whose formula is passed down succeeding generations, continues to stand out thanks to its quality and the advertising slogan, which translates to "No one can make a better perfume". Today, the fragrance enjoys notable success in the hippest stores in America whose clients are also very much taken with the handmade, traditional soap bars that are wrapped in a pretty paper decorated with drawings by famous illustrators of the time. And Europe is starting to take an interest in it.
Lavanda, an eau de Cologne which at first appealed to men, very soon became an essential element of women's toiletries. A delight for the senses, tonic, fresh, and above all very elegant, Lavanda symbolizes a certain Mediterranean taste for eaux fraîches versus heady fragrances.
Today, the factory still belongs to the same family (fourth generation). Its renown increased thanks to the introduction of other products of the same line, which includes a moisturizing cream and a shaving cream. These products are formulated with the same quality raw materials that made the success of Lavanda.
Ach. Brito might no longer be the most important perfume and soap factory in Portugal, but it nonetheless remains one the few left that perpetuate a high quality ancestral know-how."
