What grind are those? They look like full wedges in the pictures...
Awesome blades, they look like real monsters (of the hair killing variety)

Don, is there something wrong with the Chandler razors? It's been almost 15 hours and there's still one left. What gives??
Seriously, those were some beautiful razors. Had to grab the 13/16 Spanish Point with coco scales...missed out on the meat chopper and then had the barber's notch with cocobolo scales in my cart for a minute. Took a couple minutes to think over my purchase went back to my cart and it was gone, went back to the store and it was gone from there too.
That will teach me to think about my purchases. From now on I'm going on impulse only.
Well there go the funds I had raised for a Plisson HMW. Guess I'll have to sell some more stuff.

Darn, I only see one chandler razor photo on SRD. Are they others taken down immediately as they are sold? *sigh*

Heh, no worries, congrats and enjoy! That looked like one amazing razor.
It actually probably worked out for the best. The reason I was thinking it over so much was that I already have a JC 7/8 barber's notch that is somewhat similar but with different file work and scales so the Spanish point should be different enough to mix things up a little better.

I wish Don would add a gallery of some of the best stuff that has sold on SRD. It would be nice to see them even if you can't have 'em. It would also keep the RAD stoked for the next time something great comes in.

How does your other JC shave? This is my first, which in part explains my decisiveness...

It's a fantastic shaver. For me it's right up there with my TZ, Livi's, Friodors, RW, you name it.
As an added bonus, the fit and finish are beautiful. I can't imagine the work it must take to get the flawless mirror polish that's on it. The file work is very well done too, as are the scales, etc. Just an awesome razor! Nice enough that I had to buy a second and will most likely add another at some point.
It did take a little adjustment however because the thumb notch is spaced over a little further than on other razors I have. I think the shank is a little longer than on most. Once I got the hang of it I really liked it and found that it gave me very good control of the blade. I had to play around with the grip a little but for me keeping three fingers on the razor side of the tang seems to be the most comfortable and works best.
Enjoy!
