ShavingShop.com
For those of you interested in double edge shaving now is the time! ShavingShop.com has Parker double edge razors on sale for as good a price as you will ever see. The Parker razors are not much of a step down in quality from the Merkur but are a large step down in cost.
Also, keep an eye on the sight! In the next week or two I will post new razors from Heribert Wacker. Some are serialized very limited quantity special editions that I have managed to get in on before they were totally gone. I just posted some of the finest 5/8 razors I have ever seen. I call them the Wacker "Diamond" because of the red or blue paint filled gold washed diamond pattern spine forging.

I've just tried to get on and had the same problem as coach. I'd like to have a look at these 5/8's that have just been posted up...

I've also been trying to go look at John's shop..can't get on. The Shavingshop is where I go to drool at straights at least once a day. I bought a Bartman High Class this week and I'm waiting to play with it . If it shaves anywhere near as good as the big friodur I bought there 6 months ago I'll be very happy.

The host server is down but they are working on it I hope! It never fails! I dedicate this weekend to listing some of the razors I previously mentioned and of course the host server goes down. Oh well! We do what we can do.

Vestavia brushes
Something I haven't mentioned previously is that ShavingShop.com will soon be the outlet for Vestavia shaving brushes. Initially there will only be one size with only a choice between black or white handles. The 26mm heads are the finest Asian silver tip badger. The handle is acrylic with a heavy nickle plated brass base. These brushes will be equally happy sitting on the handle base pointing up or in a stand pointing down. The silver tip badger is exceptionally soft - overall they are made of the finest materials available. Sometime early next year if these are received well there will be a choice between silver tip and best badger.
The best badger will be for those who like a slightly stiffer badger in their brush.

John sent me one of these Vestavia brushes to try out. It is one of the nicest feeling brushes I have. Similar in feel to my Kent BK4. A very luxurious brush with extremely soft tips and more resilience then the Kent. A great brush if you're looking to add to your gear.

John,
Whoever is doing your webpage stuff, server stuff, electronic stuff, etc stuff needs a healthy kick in the butt.
IMHO, naturally. Their service shineth not.

After a few days of being up the web site went down again. Robert Williams is the web Guru that does the tricky stuff for me and he had my site changed to another internet provider and server. Now it shouldn't go down again. One problem - the old ISP lost about six weeks of data where I had added listings and deleted ones where I am sold out. Actually this had been happening and I was convinced it was me! I am sure I have deleted a few items that are once again shown as active and I know all those beautiful 6/8 Wacker razor postings are gone as well as a couple of 3/8 postings. Please bare with me and I will work through it. In the mean time I am open for business.

Wow. There are certainly plenty of razors to drool over here and I think I will be there drooling quite often.
