Default how do I replace the scales on my razor?

I'm buying a Double Arrow to begin my straight razor experience, and assuming that the blade is decent, I would like to replace the scales with something that has a little more snap. I can buy crap razors with nice scales on ebay for next to nothing, so I need to know how I could take those scales off and put them on my Double Arrow.

I've heard about adjustable pins, and I like that idea, but I'd like to know how to do it either way. I'm pretty handy with tools and what-not, and I've been a hobbyist for a while, so I don't think the skills will be lacking, just the know-how.

If anyone knows how to do this and could give me a quick run down it would be awesome. Also, if anyone has good sources on the pins, both regular and adjustable, that would be huge.

Thanks! I've been meaning to post an intro, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. Soon hopefully.
