Default Hand Sanding Problem

Hey guys, I think I might have a problem. When hand sanding a W & B that had a lot of pitting, I unevenly sanded the spine. So when you look at it "straight down the barrel" if you will you can see a slight dent in the spine. will this cause problems when honing? Should I sand it out to make it even? Thanks for your help.

Depends. if it is a small area then it could be negligble.
If that 'dip' is surrounded by contact surface on both sides, and those sides do not leave the honing surface, then it won't matter.

I'd say try a couple of strokes and see how it behaves and how the bevels take shape.

I agree with Bruno. I have a Shumate that has a "dent" along the spine where the hone contacts it. It's not very big, but the hone definitely doesn't touch there. It doesn't matter though because it is still the sharpest razor in my rotation. Post a pick if you have more questions.
