Razor Cabinet
After a week of trying to find different places to hang my strop around the house , I decided to make an all-in-one razor cabinet, strop hanger, hold everything else type thing.
What do you think?

Dude! That's nice. The straight razor cut outs are sick.
If you ever make some more, there are a few people on here who might want one for their "Shave Den"....

I love the cutouts on the end and you need a shot showcasing the razor, all in all it looks great.

It looks nice.
Are you going to strop there by the door? Looks like it swings in. What is on the other side, just a closet?

If I had to guess, I'd say that those are cabinets on the perpendicular wall. But I think the point Chady was making is that you want to be careful about being in a blind/collision spot while using your razor on your strop (or your face).
The setup looks really nice. I agree that the cutouts are ace.

Wow, thanks guys! I guess the space is not as confined as it looks I have plenty of room. The other 100 razors will have to wait until I make something a bit bigger. I drew the razor on the wood, then drilled a hole in the middle of the razor. I had to put the jig saw blade through the hole then connect it to the saw. After that I just tried not to cut off any fingers.

I think I will leave it natural. I don't feel like taking it down again.

Pretty cool!
I agree, the cut-outs look great!
Is that cabinet anchored to the wall strong enough to remain when the strop is pulled tight to use?

I used anchors to secure it to the wall. I could probably hang from the strop, but I am not going to try.

It wouldn't be to much trouble to make a couple more. I am not stuck on this design or size either. If you had ideas about what you would like you could pm me and we could figure something out. One could use wall anchors, or if the other side were accessible you could screw it in from the back.
