    Picked up another hone

Don't Know anything about this one. No name . I've been looking for one like I had back in the 60s and 70s. I really liked that hone. it did a great job on my knives but I guess someone thought more of it than me because it left one day and never came back. I really miss that stone. If this one...

Sold12K or more water finishing stone

This is one that I acquired off the bay and it does a pretty good job. I finished a few razors with it and they shaved pretty good. I have several stones and of course my favorite is the Suehiro 20K but I expected it to be. It cost me 200. This one was quite a bit less. I took the photos off the...

    Got lucky

I was lucky to get this Henckel 50 1/2 off eBay. from the photos it looks as if it will clean and polish up real good. I have 3 or 4 of this model and they shave very good. I got it as a very good price I think and can't wait to get it.

    first straight shave in months

Well I finally put the safety razor up and got out one of my Henckels. washed my face and lathered up . After the wreck and 3 months using the store bought safety I took the time to get the straight out and strap it up. The shave turned out very good and no colors (red). So I'm back with straights.

I've been gone for time to catch up

As some of y'all know I road a Harley. Well last Oct. I went on a bike ride to Daytona Florida for the Biketober fest. a Bike rally. I wish I could remember it. Now this is a little over 800 miles from my home. Just on the other side of Birmingham Alabama I had a wrecks. I spent 3 weeks in the...

    Picked up another Henckel

From all appearances I don't think it had ever been honed. I may end up reducing the heard.

    Another Question

I keep looking for a hone that is second to an Escher but not as expensive. There's no way I could justify the cost of an Escher but what would come close without the cost. What do ya'll think. I had what I think was an Escher back in the 70s but some one liked it more than me and It came up...

    question

I've aquired a 12K Guangxi hone and am looking for a slurry stone. I once made one out of a pc. of lava rock. Ground one side flat and it worked until it broke. I was wondering what others have used of a slurry stone.

    Kitchen knives

This is suppose to be a 12K stone 7 1/2 X 2 7/8 X7/8 with slurry stone. I need something for my kitchen knives so my Naniwas are out of the question. This one was cheap. I know it's not a thuragan (spelling bad) but then again it was only 39 bucks. we'll see when it gets here.

    Two more Henckels.

I've acquired two more Henckels that when cleaned and honed will make some one fine razors to start with. Neither has any hone wear and If they arre like all the other Henckels I've had will be good shavers. I'll post photos when they're honed.

    I didn't know

I was looking on eBay and noticed that either Red Imp was made by Morris Collegiate was made by red imp. Don't know if this is true or not just that both made good razors. Anyone have any info this subject. I'm not that good at looking things up. Had to ck. my spelling.

    Another Boker

This one came in last Friday and I got around to cleaning and polishing today. As all the Bokers of this area it's a really nice pc.

    The last Two

The dark scaled razor is a Otto Busch Weltmiester and the white scaled razor is a Morris Collegiate. From what I can see neither one has been honed. I cleaned and polished and I will oil the Morris like I did the Weltmiester wrap in wax paper and store until January. I will fight the temptation...

    quitting eBay

Even with fuzzy photos I can tell this will be a good razor. Otto Busch Weltiester will be a very good razor once cleaned polished and honed.

    Henckel. I couldn't resist.

Henckel 80 inox. The seller said it had never been used. It's at least a 5/8 maybe a little more. I needed one for trips that I wouldn't have time to let set out and dry so I'll give this one a try. This is one of the two photos so other than what the seller said I'm buying it blind.

    The Tax man

I've enjoyed finding and reconditioning honing and letting go razors for a while now but it seems that it's over now. I just found out that the IRS is watching eBay and now I have to either list and pay taxes on the little I do or quite. I quite eBay . I hope they don't start watching here...

    Henckel # 84

This one came today and to be honest I really got it for the scales. But (there always has to be a BUT) it looks and feels better than just replacing the blade. Most folks know I'm really partial a Henckel and the smaller blades. I know most everyone wants to shave with an axe but when starting...

    The Col. Conk

I told my self that I wouldn't look or bid on another razor for a long time. Well I didn't listen. From what I can see and from what I've read this is really the same razor as the Dovo best quality just with a different name. For the price I bid and won I really think it will clean up very nice...
