My next safety razor

My first safety razor was an Edwin Jagger 89 DE. It got damaged so I bought myself a Wilkinson Sword Classic(the black version). I still have it. I always have problems with the against the grain pass just below my chin and on the neck.
I am looking to buy a new razor. What should I get: a slant, an open comb, an adjustable?

I also use Proraso green(cream and soap). Maybe I should switch to white(made for sensible skin).

The only safety razors I’ve used are vintage Gillettes. The slim adjustable works best for me.
I have heard really good things about slant DEs. Maybe you should give one a try.

Is there a Doctor in the house ?
A slant bar will be quite a bit more aggressive than an 89C (ie Merkur 34 head). I have a dozen or so DEs but tend to ignore them after discovering The General by Colonial Razors. It's a good deal more expensive, but gives me the best compromise between closeness and comfort, plus the Feather AC blades seem to last forever! I use brass example on the bulbous handle that came with a Jagger 89C. Now Colonial Razors are a small outfit and offer these razors in batches, but it might be worth waiting until they offer them again. It is possible to buy just the head and use your existing handle if you like it.

I'm not looking at you !
A Merkur Slant is a bit aggressive, but its gives a great shave. When traveling without a str8, a Slant with Feather blades are superb! It takes a light touch. If you shave a slant the same as a Gillete DE, you will make your own proscuitto! Make sure you have a stypic pencil. A light touch will give you an effort free smooth shave. IMHO
