Old Brush Identification

Pun1sh3R

One Batch, Two Batch, Penny, And Dime.
Howdy Gentlemen,

Another family heirloom acquisition for me. Barbershop Pure Bristle.

I am told it was one of my Great Grandfather's.

Any Brush Historians have any more information?

It's bristles are very stiff. Maybe Horse Hair? My boar Brush seems softer.

Somebody lied to you, I think. Or your great grandfather passed away fairly recently as things go. That is a "retro" brush, manufactured in the 1970's, and usually accompanied by a shave mug and (I think) a puck of Surrey shave soap.

It is boar.

Here's the matching mug. Both the Brush and Mug were produced by Franklin Toiletry Co., and the brush was likely made by Rubberset for them.
