Remedial Question about Microchipping

Will microchipping be removed during a refresh honing? I have a vintage #14 that has chipping which is barely visible at 60x magnification. Would a refresh at 12k followed by a Thuringian likely remove the chipping?

Just for what its worth, when I refresh an edge, I'll take it back to an 8k and make enough passes that it has a nice clean edge. Then coticule, JNAT, pasted strop and back in the drawer.
