I came across this article in a 1935 Popular Mechanics magazine on Google Books. Still new to honing, what do experienced honers think of the information?
In case the link doesn't open search this phrase in Google books on page 114 "the edge of your razor blade is one of the keenest"

I dont know what to say. Good read. What a deep dive into a fairly simple process. Always interesting to read up on different or old points of view. I don't know reading this before I learned to hone would have changed anything. It does make a point I think is pretty relevant. Always , always, hit the strop between shaves.
