For me it's probably my Timeless razor with the larger (I think .95?) blade gap and the scalloped head. Great razor. But really I prefer injectors to DEs when it comes to safety razors.

I had to choose between the Ranger and the 2011 R41...could have gone either way.

Here are two of my favorite DE razors in my den. New De Luxe Big Fellow Chromium #20. IMO, the king of the RFB razors. The large handle and the weight of 85g make it a joy to use and delivers a smooth, mild shave in 1 1/2 passes. The second is my Bottom Dial because it is a Bottom Dial. It only comes out one or two times a year. SOTD from last Christmas

I have a Merkur HD open comb that I really like, but I can’t find it anymore. they jus seem to have the normal safety bar and the slant bar in the HD line. Does anyone know any stores that still sell the Merkur HD open comb (if it’s still made)? Or any suggestions for a similar razor (open Comb with the heft of the HD line)

I love all my vintage razors, especially Gillettes and GEMs. Since I live in small European country, where it`s impossible to find any American made razor, I appreciate all of them. They have their own history, serviced well for decades and finally ended to my hands, far from US.
Though question for me, but I use mostly my Fatboy, 50s Super Speed and Slim from DE and GEM Micromatic OC, GEM 1912 from SE.

still own a Fatip, haven't used it in years. gave away the other DEs I had, but sold the '11 R41. It took as much effort and time to use as a straight, so why bother. I was looking at a quicky shave alternative when I tried it out.
