Weird razors....................

Some are for shaving your face;others are for shaving your..........whatever. Some are amusing and others are,"What the H**l were they thinking of?" Hope you enjoy them.
#1 is an example of the period when manufacturers made their razors to fit only their blades.Made by Enders,it came with a handle that allowed you to re-sharpen the blade on a stone.
#2 is a miniature safety razor made by Evans that was marketed to ladies for discreet shaving. To give you an idea of it's size, the background squares are one inch(25.4mm) in size.
#3 is a similar model made by Razorette of Detroit Michigan around 1940.
#4 & #5 are front and rear views of an early rotary blade razor manufactured in Monaco(!)with a windup clockspring motor! The winding lasts about 2 minutes and it works pretty well if your beard isn't too heavy.2012RazorBox25.jpgEvansMiniSafetyRazor1.JPGRazorette1.jpgRazors&Such2 308.jpgRazors&Such2 309.jpg

#2 is a safety razor that has built in stones to hone the blade by vigorously shaking it up and down.Wonder why that one didn't go anywhere!
#3 & #4 is a somewhat humorous attempt by Schick to capitalize on the muscle car craze in the early 1970's .A "Stick Schick".SafetyRazorGroup 001.jpgShake-SharpRazor 001.jpgStickSchick 001.jpgStickSchick 002.jpg
